Telehealth in 2026: What the Data From Our Network Shows
Telehealth has permanently changed how Australians access primary care. Here is what we are seeing across our network of 93 clinics.
Telehealth changed the way Australians access primary care ? and that change has been largely permanent. The post-pandemic normalisation of video consultations has expanded what is possible for both patients and clinicians, but it has also introduced new operational questions that many practices are still working through.
The Telehealth Opportunity
For clinicians in our network, telehealth is not a substitute for in-person care ? it is a complement to it. Used well, it extends your reach to patients who struggle with transport or availability, it allows for efficient follow-up consultations, and it supports continuity of care in ways that were simply not possible a decade ago.
What the Data Shows
Across our network of over 93 clinics, we have seen telehealth adoption stabilise at around 20-25% of total consultations. The practices that use it most effectively are those that have built it into their appointment booking systems and trained their admin teams to guide patients through the process.
The technology itself is rarely the barrier. The processes around it usually are.
